The MPO loopback module contains an MPO loopback jumper, which threads both ends of the optical fiber into an MTP/MPO connector, allowing the optical path to return to itself within the same connector without changing the signal or repeating the signal. In this way, the actual path of a signal through the network can be simulated, allowing detection of potential problems in the link.
