

Electroless nickel-phosphorus (NiāP) coating consists of an alloy of nickel and phosphorus. The autocatalytic deposition process occurs in an aqueous solution with chemical reactions caused by the catalytic reduction of the nickel ion with sodium hypophosphite in acid baths. Electroless Ni-P-PTFE Composite Plating coating is made by co-depositing polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) into a Ni-P alloy coating. It grants machine parts and mechanical components smoothness, abrasion-resistance, and the ability to slide. PTFE is co-deposited at rates of 5, 10, 20, and 30%. Lower percentage coatings are suited for heavy components, while higher percentage coatings are suited for light components. This coating is made for components that slide.
