Railway track axle counter is a railway signal safety device that detects whether a section of railway track is occupied by a train by counting the axles of trains entering and leaving the section of railway track. An axle counter generally consists of a wheel sensor (one between two points of the railway track) and an axle counter processor (used to detect railway vehicle axle signals and monitor equipment failures). Railway track axle counter is a device specifically used in railway track systems to ensure the safety of train operation by detecting and recording the number of train axles passing through a specific track section.
