
Trimethylphosphine oxide (THPO), a new reactive organic phosphorus flame retardant, does not contain halogen elements and has a higher phosphorus content than general phosphorus flame retardants. Its structural formula is similar to propylene glycol and contains active hydroxymethyl groups, which can replace propylene glycol as a starting agent to synthesize flame retardant polyethers; It does not contain phosphate ester bonds, but is connected by P-C bonds, which has excellent hydrolysis resistance and does not affect the storage performance of raw materials. At the same time, it has no corrosiveness to molds in production. The polyether polyols made from THPO have low smoke, low toxicity, high residual carbon, and good compatibility. THPO can make the oxygen index of polyurethane foam reach more than 30, and the flame retardant grade reaches UL94- V-0, without affecting the mechanical properties of the materials. It can be widely used in polyurethane rigid foam such as building exterior walls, refrigerators, freezers, refrigerators, pipes, etc.
