It is a special accessory for measuring the oil level in the tank and taking oil samples. One is set on the top of each tank, mostly near the platform of tank ladder. The diameter of the measuring hole is 150 mm, and the hole cover and elastic bolt which can be closed are set. In order to prevent sparks from the impact between the hole cover and the iron when closing, oil resistant rubber gasket or soft metal (copper or aluminum) is embedded in the sealing groove of the hole cover. Because the steel tape used for measuring is easy to produce sparks due to friction when contacting the outlet, copper (or aluminum alloy) sleeve is inlaid inside the hole tube, or non-ferrous metal guide groove (ruler slot) which will not produce sparks is installed outside the fixed measuring point.
