

Indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) is a semiconductor material composed of indium (In), gallium (Ga) and arsenic (As). Its band gap energy is approximately between 0.7 and 1.7 eV, which is particularly suitable for detection in the near-infrared (NIR) range. This material has a wide band gap, can effectively absorb light energy in the visible and near-infrared ranges, and achieve efficient photoelectric conversion.
The working principle of the InGaAs infrared detector array is based on the photoelectric effect. When external light shines on the PN junction of the detector, photons are absorbed and converted into electron-hole pairs. These electrons and holes are separated and collected under the action of the external electric field to form a current output. Through array design, multi-channel simultaneous detection can be achieved, improving detection efficiency and accuracy.
