A linear generator is an electromagnetic device that converts mechanical linear motion directly into electrical energy. Its working principle is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Unlike traditional rotary generators that cut magnetic flux lines through rotary motion, linear generators use the linear reciprocating motion of conductors or magnetic fields to generate induced electromotive force. Its core structure consists of a stator and a mover: the stator contains a fixed magnetic field (such as a permanent magnet or electromagnetic coil), and the mover is a movable conductor or coil assembly. When the mover moves in a straight line in the magnetic field, the conductor cuts the magnetic flux lines, thereby generating a voltage difference at both ends. If a closed loop is formed, current can be output. This design allows the linear generator to directly realize the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy without the need for an intermediate transmission mechanism, and has the advantages of compact structure, fast response speed, and high efficiency.
