Multispectral sensors are equipped with multiple optical filters that selectively capture specific bands of electromagnetic radiation. The detector in the sensor is used to receive and convert the radiation signal captured by the optical sensor into an electrical signal. The captured electrical signals will be processed and analyzed by the data processing unit to obtain multispectral image data about the observation area.
