
Waste-based Biodiesel, Advanced biodiesel are the fuels produced from bio based feedstock such as agricultural residues, forest residues or municipal solid wastes. Biofuels are classified into first generation biofuels and second generation biofuels depending on feedstock and method of production. First generation biofuels are produced from raw materials such as sugar and vegetable oils. On the other hand, second generation biofuels are called as advanced biofuels and these advanced biofuels are derived from non-food biomass.
The global Waste-based Biodiesel market is projected to reach US$ 3270.1 million in 2029, increasing from US$ 2794 million in 2022, with the CAGR of 2.3% during the period of 2023 to 2029. As the world transitions to new, sustainable energy sources, the biofuel sector may have a crucial part to play. By using waste material for fuel there will be significant savings on landfill or incineration costs and the related emissions. Bio-based diesel and aviation fuels from plant-based feedstock could emit 80% less carbon than the crude oil-based products that dominate today’s global market.
