Telecomspricing launched itsÌý5G Tariff TrackerÌýin January 2020, then covering someÌý40Ìýoperators across the globe. Since then, many operators have launched 5G, and inÌýQ1 2023, the service covers 5G pricing well overÌý200Ìýproviders across the globe.
The service is updated quarterly and coverage is expanded to cover the new 5G launches. Additionally, telecoms pricing provides insight into upcoming launches in 2023.
The key changes in 5G services include developments in technology aimed at providing improved coverage in urban areas and inside buildings. Together these developments provide improved download speeds as well as increased deployments to improve in-country 5G coverage. 5G is made available to a larger audience including the prepaid customers, and sub-brands and MVNOs started to make their services too 5G ready. Furthermore, operators make changes to their offerings from price increases to overhauling of their portfolios. Changes made from update to update are marked in red and a brief summary of each change is provided with each update.
